Meerut will soon have UP’s first sports university

 


It’s been almost 2years since the University of sports was initiated in Mundka village, Delhi. After 2 years of that Uttar Pradesh government is planning to open its first sports university in Meerut and it seems like the state cabinet has agreed on the State Sports University Bill 2021 draft. It probably is the best sports news for all the sportsmen in Uttar Pradesh, but here is more the university like any other sports university will provide the best infrastructure and the facilities to all it’s students. 

 

The budget that is decided to build the new project in Salawa Village, Sardhana District of Meerut is Rs. 700 crores. And this infrastructure will have everything a sportsman would ever need. According to a government spokesperson this would prepare all the athletes completely to present them in national and international level competitions. 


"The university will have graduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, MPhil and PhD courses under physical education, health and applied  sports sciences, sports management and technology, sports coaching, sports journalism, mass media technology, adventure sports and youth affairs," the spokesman said.


Once the bill is cleared works will start right away in order to avoid any delay and the university would open soon. The University will have full-fledged degree courses which will be awarded to the students and there will be tests as well like a regular university which includes theory and practical. 


Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister has also visited the proposed site and after that he also declared that the university will make India proud in the field of sports. Further adding to it that the dream of Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi will help in improving the condition of sports and will provide world class facilities to encourage sports. today , this announcement has made it to the top sports news blog.
