India is yet facing a spike in COVID cases but it seems like only the general public is allowed to follow all the COVID precautions and it does not apply to the political leaders. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took this issue to his Twitter account and urged the Prime Minister of India to stop with all these political rallies and roadshows, covering all the headlines of the latest political news. “Even the judiciary and ECI cannot shy away from their responsibility. Despite opposition from the states, the Supreme Court and high courts issued orders for holding Panchayat and local bodies elections. ECI continued announcing elections simply to discharge its duty,” he mentioned in his tweet.
He further mentioned that there are two situations happening around the nations- one is where people are supposed to follow all the protocols of the novel coronavirus but another one is where people are taking political rallies and roadshows. He also said that it started after the Bihar elections were lined. Political news today says that he appreciated Congress leader Smt. Sonia Gandhi for saying that politicians are equally to be blamed for the spread of the pandemic.
