SEC Chairman Slammed By Mark Cuban Over Investor Protection

 


Gary Gensler, the chairman of SEC has once again made a statement in which he mentioned the prime focus is protection for investors. On Tuesday, he tweeted by saying that the main purpose behind the law is aimed at the goal of investor protection. Their stricter enforcement rule is to adhere to the facts plus the law, wherever it takes on behalf of those who invest in, and the working families.

However, it seems it did not get down well with the Shark Tank star Mark Cuban. He termed the SEC's stance on investor protection a ‘bullshit’. He gave his response via tweet. According to the Dallas Mavericks owner, if the SEC wants to work on the behalf of investors, then it must be made simpler for the investors and business people to be questioned and get the answer. But instead, it seems not at all possible. The ones who are not able to afford lawyers will be left with guessing only.

A Canadian Investment f irm 3iQ filed a prospectus for Bitcoin Funds with hopes to attract retail investors with a regulated digital asset fund.
